Dr. Bradley Collins

PhD BSc(Hons) Grad Dip IT

Bradley I am an IT specialist, Chemist, and home brewer.

I guess I am just a guy who likes wine and beer. Looking around the net I noticed that there was plenty on Aussie wines but almost nothing on Aussie beer. In fact for the little there was, you would have thought that there was only one Aussie beer, Fosters. With my beer page, I hope to have rectified that in a small way. In time, I hope that my page will have a few pictures and some more reviews. For those of you from overseas, please try out our beers when they are available to you. I think that some of you will be pleasantly surprised.

Whilst I do like Aussie beers, I love Belgian beer. I have spent a lot of time tracking down distributors of such wonderful brews as Chimay, Hoegaarden, Orval, St Bernardus Sixtus Abt and others. If anyone has any information about Belgian (and other European beers) in Australia please contact me (my email is on the home page). I also collect beer glasses, I have about 45 Belgian, Dutch, German, English, Danish and Aussie glasses. I recently increase my collection with my wife's trip to the Netherlands and Denmark in October/November. I add a Rodenbach flute, a Brigand glass, a Gouden Carolus glass, a Mort Subite glass and a Holme Gaard designed crystal goblet for Carlsburg beer as well as a couple of glasses that were already in my collection. At the moment I am looking for a Bellevue Kriek glass.

I must thank Kerry Gleeson of Tasmanian Breweries for her unsolicited gift of two Boag's glasses and for helping me amend these pages! I must also thank Prof. Paul Krogsgaard-Larsen of the Carlsberg Foundation for sending me two very hard ...almost impossible...to get beers from the Carlsberg Brewery. I must also thank Bill Clarke of London, Ontario Canada, for sending me a Labatt Genuine Draft beer mug! Also Olivier of La Concorde (a Belgian beer importer) for getting me a St. Louis glass. All this generosity has prompted me to have a Glass Donor's Page.

As you can probably guess by the edit dates on many of these pages, I really don't get the time I want to edit these pages as much as I would like but please send me your comments, corrections and additions!
